Yes. One of the most powerful elements of Carbon360 is a highly flexible system for modelling your own framework. This can include different styles of questions, descriptions, even different scoring systems for individual questions and critically different question sets for different Job Roles or Tiers in your organisation. The main Competency Framework screen also displays a graphical representation of your framework as you build it.
Many people use a standard scoring key such as:-
- Strongly disagree
- Disagree
- Neutral
- Agree
- Strongly agree
However Carbon360 allows you to enter your own scoring key. You can even change the scores for individual questions and provide descriptions to help the review make the right choice.
Yes. Instead of just posing straight questions you are also able to set up complex questions with comprehensive descriptions of each scoring choice. This can be demonstrated if you require.
Users logging in for their review are provided with instructions that can be written by you and just one button to press titled 'Feedback'. They can then choose reviewers or complete feedback on another person. It is very simple to pick and use without any formal training.
Yes. When choosing reviewers it is possible to enter a name and email address to invite an external person to review someone.
Yes. When the HR administrator sets up the competency framework they are able to define what the expected score should be for any question related to a specific job role. This means that a question aimed at an Office Junior can have a lower expected score than if it was posed to a Director.
The HR administrator can run cumulative or comparative reports on a wide variety of groups across an organisation. For example this may involve requesting a cumulative report on all employees in a particular department or even a whole country. This is a very flexible system and can provide enterprise level data to assist you in running the company more effectively.
Yes, by using the HR dashboards you get a complete top down view of what is currently running on the system.
Yes, reminders can either be manually sent by the HR administrator or the responsible manager. Reminders can also be automated so they are sent after a specified period. You can even configure the frequency of these reminders, and with all the emails in Carbon360 the content is completely configurable.
The HR administrator can run reports on who is currently involved with any active reviews. They can then choose to replace or remove them without the review being restarted or interrupted.
No problem. We can include any additional material in our printed PDF reports.
Carbon360 has workflow options that can be turned on and off by the administrator. This includes the ability for the line manager to check and sign off the choices made by a user and also to sign off the final reports before the user sees them.
Yes. If the workflow option is activated the manager gets the chance to see the results and comments before the end user. The user does not get to view them until they are signed off by the manager. Also, the system administrator is able to turn on a profanity filter. This checks any comments made for inappropriate terms or words and replaces them with 'stars' (*). An administrator can still uncover the words if needed.
Managers can view the results of their direct reports and, if enabled, they can see the reports of those that are managed by these direct reports. This includes reports on the competency and individual behaviours scores, as well as gap analysis, development needs and comments made by the responders. All reports are completely anonymous and can be grouped by reviewer type or any other grouping that you choose to setup.
Managers can also run comparative reports against multiple direct reports to help them make comparisons or to benchmark an individual's results against a business unit.
Yes, by using the Manager Dashboards you get a complete top down view of what is currently running on the system for your direct reports.
Yes, reminders can be manually sent to either the reviewers or those whose review it is.
Security
There are 5 preset levels of access to the system, all of which require a username and password. As well as sensitive data being encrypted before storage, all access to the system is provided over a 128bit SSL connection from behind a dedicated hardware firewall.
Service and Support
Within our support agreement you'll find all our Service Level Agreements which we continually monitor and regularly review.
All support cases are logged and tracked in our helpdesk software, allowing all support staff full access to your case at anytime.
System Architecture
The current system has the ability to be scaled both horizontally and vertically, in the first instance vertical scaling would be applied, if further scaling was required a separation of front-end and database servers could be implemented, and should the requirement arise, the system could then use clustered servers at both the front end and SQL backend.
Microsoft ASP.NET
.NET Framework 2.0
SQL Server 2005
