Leading Scottish Accountancy firm selects Carbon360
One of Scotland’s leading Chartered Accountancy firms has upgraded its 360 degree appraisal process with software from Element 78 Solutions Ltd. Founded in 1990, Anderson Anderson & Brown (A²+B) takes a progressive approach to accountancy placing emphasis on teamwork and encouraging creative thinking. In line with A²+B’s innovative approach, the firm has embraced latest appraisal techniques and has successfully run 360 degree reviews for a number of years. Further commitment to the 360 process has been taken with investment in the Carbon360 software product which will automate the review process.Commenting on the selection of Carbon360, A²+B HR Manager Janine Sydenham said:“Anderson Anderson & Brown’s requirement was for a 360 appraisal software solution which would complement our existing processes: Element78’s product impressed us because, unlike other solutions, we did not have to invest in a totally new HR package.“Additional reasons for choosing Carbon360 included the fact that, like our existing systems, it is SQL based and it is also intuitive to use — you don’t have to be an IT expert to run the software.”A²+B represents one of a number of companies that have invested in Carbon360 software after viewing a Web based demonstration. With A²+B based in Aberdeen and Element78 located in Bristol, an online demonstration facility supported by phone commentary from Element78 joint Managing Director Nick Furneaux eased the selection process for the accountancy firm. A²+B’s nine partners and 101 members of staff will all benefit from the Carbon360 appraisal solution which is a browser-based software package for the creation, distribution and reporting of 360 degree staff management, performance and appraisals.
Carbon360 headed for Telereal
Telereal is a leading property solutions company that has extensive expertise in optimising property portfolios. For example, in 2001 they completed the UK's largest corporate property outsourcing deal. Telereal acquired the majority of the BT UK property estate comprising 6,700 properties totalling 5.5 million m² and took on a team of 350 property specialists. This enabled BT to unlock £2.38 billion in capital. As Telereal’s business is growing fast, HR has been searching for ways to better appraise the staff in order to maximise efficiency and retention. They settled on carrying out 360 degree style appraisals but knew that a paper based model would be highly complex and a consultant led service far too expensive. This led them to contact Element 78 and purchase the Carbon360 product which fulfils their needs now and into the future. The ‘buy once, use many’ sales model fitted their requirements and ensures that long-term appraisal costs are kept to a minimum.

Council select Carbon 360 for Staff Appraisals
We are delighted to announce that South Gloucestershire County Council have chosen Carbon 360 to manage its next phase of rolling out 360 style appraisals to its staff.Having tried 360 appraisals with staff they had found it to be very successful but with an unworkable time expense attached to it. They wanted to role out the process to others in the organisation but needed a software solution that would be flexible enough to model their competency framework.Having considered several 360 products the Council chose to pursue Carbon 360 as the software that would enable them to roll out efficient and manageable appraisals to a wide audience. In the next phase the software will be integrated into other Council-wide HR systems.
